The operator requested correction of the internal tasks process after tracing native issue #543. This repair synchronizes execution status independently of task scheduling. It does not admit, resume, requeue or advance the preserved work.
Issue #543 stored working while its current implementation repair task was failed. The native issue board and SuperProject detail already projected blocked; the persisted status was stale because ordinary workflow reconciliation was paused. Task failure was correctly retained: Stored task targets an obsolete working branch; preserve and replan against dev.
The current cycle is 119070. Its implementation_queued phase retains the pending implementation handoff, task pointers, saved revision, review evidence and retry accounting. It does not assert that the failed task is runnable. Fixing that task's original failure is a separate case; this repair preserves it.
Database triggers synchronize open nonterminal native issues in the task or phase-ownership transaction. They lock the issue before reading the latest cycle's current task so a delayed report cannot overwrite a successor's status. Running maps to working; queued/completed awaiting continuation maps to waiting for AutoCoder; failed/blocked/cancelled/superseded maps to blocked. Startup repairs existing discrepancies without enabling automation. Each actual status change appends one audit event, without changing issue text or comments. The issue API selects the current phase's task and retains the existing terminal/recovery fallback.

Independent read-only gpt-6-sol/medium source review approved the scope after recovery-display and ownership-race corrections; the reviewer did not run tests.note_origin. Subsequent reviewed PR #6821 corrected that fixture; no duplicate repair was applied here.t_req_0136_database_task_status_survives_pause_and_preserves_continuations passed at 19:20:34 UTC. The disposable database container was removed. No production task/status SQL mutations were used for acceptance.
The original failed task and cycle remain recoverable with their identities, saved work and accounting intact. The scoped status process correction is complete. Original issue #543 still needs its ordinary authorized engine continuation against the development branch; this change does not authorize resuming paused automation.
A rollback to an older application image retains database functions, triggers and audit history. Do not drop synchronization objects or delete historical events as an incidental rollback action; any schema rollback must be separately reviewed and verified.
Resource accounting: prior accumulated active agent runtime could not be reconstructed across earlier context and was not treated as zero. Pipeline waits were scheduled through the host monitor; progress continued through source review, isolated acceptance and live verification. No paid or recurring capacity was added.
