Status: REQ-0083 source cleanup merged to TheWell-Backend DEV and deployed to persistent TEST at exact revision 1232efc05bf95e888431d086c52d0b0be673287b. AutoCoder delivery ledger remains open; post-release normal-account sign-in and saved-workspace visibility are confirmed. TheWell PROD configuration stop remains active.
CodeCartography finding #559 linked to TheWell-Backend REQ-0083. The provider requirements artifact was invalid under the current engine schema. Azure DEV PR 6618 merged as 2e950da5196f1c67d96b2e5dd2be169d95b5bd42, preserving historical review decisions in provenance, blocking unresolved decisions, and separating credential-owner rotation as blocked REQ-0094. The supervised admission selected only REQ-0083 and queued task superproject-requirements-1790540402214217888.
The planner was queued with the ordinary model despite REQ-0083 being both important and urgent. AutoCoder PR 6737 merged to DEV as 7dbe80078782d947e7c24b20c293af7ae9962142 to apply REQ-0052 critical routing to provider requirements. Immutable candidate run 3910 succeeded. Gitea main revision 623cd59756775679512ce9ba702615f4dfddd920 has DEV repair revision 7dbe80078782d947e7c24b20c293af7ae9962142 as a parent. The production backend deployment reports that source revision, immutable image sha256:b7722fb6ccb8045acc36c036e90d462f43653681335bfce15942a7a50101cc63, and 1/1 ready replicas. The existing queued task was corrected with an exact task/state guarded database update to gpt-6-astra/high; its task workspace_spec_json retains the requirement revision, engine fix revision, timestamp, and reason. The worker preflight confirmed the selected subscription account was eligible and supported that exact model. No paid API fallback was enabled.
The administrator created temporary Pod autocoder-supervised-thewell-req0083 in namespace autocoder-engine on drg-k8s-worker-01.auth.home.lan, using immutable worker image sha256:e6fe8b88c166ccc2a1c448315a0c94283f2ba288fec042a343524c7cca04e02b and the canonical instruction ConfigMap. It uses the existing autocoder-agent-worker service account with automatic token mounting disabled, the installed worker sandbox profiles, existing registry and repository credential Secret references, and /mnt/runner-storage/autocoder-engine for bounded task workspace. Node readiness, ext4 read-write mount, and more than 200 GiB free worker storage were checked before creation.
The Pod command is sleep infinity. Its declared flags permit worker execution inside this one Pod only; the production server's background automation and ordinary workers remain paused. The first Pod lacked the background flag, so worker-once preview rejected before claim. After confirming the task remained queued, the administrator replaced that temporary Pod with its corrected declared specification. The selected plan stage was then invoked by worker-once with an exact task ID, task kind, and explicit continue line. No general worker polling loop was started.
Inspect the exact plan task result, then continue only its owned successor if safe. Verify development integration and source values separately. Owner rotation in REQ-0094 remains blocked and the exposure incident remains open. The temporary Pod was removed after the persistent workspace and task record were confirmed; retain bounded scratch needed for recovery. The production configuration stop for TheWell remains effective.
The first worker-once planner attempt ran on gpt-6-astra/high and ended with the configured 120-second Codex command timeout. Its task was marked failed, but the retained thread 01a0e493-c3a2-7102-905c-845d44052d28 had a completed turn and a plan file at .autocoder/change-set.json (SHA-256 e53f676aa3177f6fc2cfd55dec067f2bf136a54590105c9bdcf0c99c6d03326a). The plan selects only TheWell-Backend/dev and REQ-0083, with two changes, four acceptance checks, and no unresolved decisions. No source file changed.
The administrator confirmed no Codex process remained, then replaced only the temporary sleeping pod with a declared 300-second command timeout. An exact task/state/thread guarded database update returned the same failed planner task to queued, bound its retained result thread for continuation, and saved the first attempt's error, counts, trace digest, plan digest and timestamp in the task workspace specification. The ordinary server and workers remain paused. A fresh preflight confirmed the selected subscription account remained eligible and supported gpt-6-astra. The same task was invoked again by worker-once with the explicit continue checkpoint; outcome pending.
The same planner task completed on its retained thread. Its saved plan was validated and AutoCoder queued only superproject-requirements-1790540402214217888-implementation, bound to TheWell-Backend repository id 203fdc1d-37bb-48d8-8b0d-abb43f1de914, REQ-0083, development branch dev, and model gpt-6-astra/high. Azure DEV remained at the requirement checkpoint 2e950da5196f1c67d96b2e5dd2be169d95b5bd42. The administrator replaced only the temporary sleeping pod with a declared 600-second command timeout for the implementation stage, then invoked worker-once for that exact task with the explicit continue checkpoint. Implementation produced a retained workspace; final status and cause are recorded below. No source delivery is claimed.
The first implementation command checkpointed the same task and thread before any source edit because the fallback subscription reported 78% weekly usage, below its protected 30% remaining reserve. No paid API call or reserve override occurred. Fresh read-only preflight found ordinary subscription account codex-account-32561fee03fb1878eb1618881cefda91 eligible at 0% primary/secondary use with exact gpt-6-astra support and no queued or running work. The documented recover-worker-once preview bound only the retained implementation task, then an explicit continue checkpoint authorized guarded reassignment and execution on that account. The task identity, thread, model and original plan remain unchanged. The task continued; final status is recorded below.
The implementation task superproject-requirements-1790540402214217888-implementation, thread 01a0e4a0-41fa-7332-9497-c51de9e537ed, edited six TheWell-Backend files in the persistent worker workspace at /workspace/repos-rwx/superprojects/branches/sp-requirements-1790540402214217888/TheWell-Backend. It remains uncommitted and unpushed. The task is failed; its goal marked blocked after three consecutive turns with the same .NET startup failure. REQ-0083 remains active and its test is not_run. No Azure source PR, DEV integration, TEST deployment, or finding resolution is claimed.
The same worker Pod runs dotnet --info outside Codex's inner sandbox, but inside the configured autocoder-implementation sandbox .NET 8.0.424 exits 134 before restore/build: System.Diagnostics.Process.GetStat cannot retrieve process metadata. An isolated sandbox shell reports PID 2 while /proc/self resolves to a different host PID, and /proc/2/stat is unavailable. The installed Codex CLI is 0.156.1; it does not expose the newer trusted-executor PID namespace inheritance startup option. Mounting procfs inside this nonprivileged sandbox is denied. No sandbox bypass, privilege expansion, paid API fallback, or production TheWell configuration change was made.
The administrator deleted the temporary Pod after confirming its /workspace/repos-rwx mount is persistent hostPath /mnt/runner-storage/autocoder-engine, the task and thread are retained in the database, and the replacement Pod manifest is preserved at /home/ax_julian/temp/autocoder-supervised-thewell-req0083-20260927.json (mode 0600). A read after deletion confirmed the Pod is absent; no polling loop remains. Keep the hostPath workspace and task/thread identity until an authorized validation path is available. Before continuing, resolve the procfs/PID mismatch through a supported worker runtime or use an independently governed validation path that preserves the same AutoCoder task and its evidence; do not mark implementation_ready without passing evidence. Existing TheWell DEV credential literals remain in remote source until delivery. Credential-owner rotation remains blocked REQ-0094.
The operator explicitly approved a dedicated credential-free validation Pod for the retained AutoCoder source edits. Pod autocoder-thewell-req0083-validator ran on worker01 with the same immutable worker image and existing non-root seccomp/AppArmor profiles. An init container copied the task source tree from the persistent hostPath into a bounded emptyDir, excluding .git, build outputs and symlinks. The validator container mounted only the emptyDir and /tmp; it had no injected repository/database credentials, no mounted service-account token, no source hostPath mount, and no AutoCoder worker loop. The saved manifest is /home/ax_julian/temp/autocoder-thewell-req0083-validator-20260927.json (mode 0600).
The validator confirmed the copied tree has no .git directory and dotnet --version returns 8.0.424, establishing that .NET starts outside the Codex inner sandbox. Static JSON parsing and five targeted checks passed: base and Development database password markers, and Development Qdrant, AzureAd, and OpenAI credential markers. These checks do not establish compilation or runtime behavior.
A cold dotnet restore TheWell-Backend.sln --verbosity quiet was stopped after more than ten minutes without completion. NuGet's public index returned HTTP 200 and the local package directory count increased from zero to 126, but restore never wrote assets or a success result. The exact restore process received INT, then TERM after NuGet remained in its cancellation task; exit was 143. A narrower restore of src/TheWell-BackendTests/TheWell-BackendTests.csproj reused the downloaded packages but hit an explicit 180-second timeout with exit 124 and no restore result; package directory count reached 145. No build, format check, .NET test, passing requirement evidence, source commit, PR or DEV merge was produced. This cold restore is direct evidence that the proposed fast validation target has not been met for this task. Do not infer a NuGet outage from a successful index request or infer a code defect from these timeouts.
The validator Pod was deleted after the bounded attempt; a follow-up cluster read confirmed it is absent. Its emptyDir packages were discarded. The original AutoCoder task source edits and thread remain preserved on the worker hostPath. The next repair must provide bounded reliable package restore/validation and a governed way for the same task to consume exact evidence before source delivery; its goal must not be marked implementation_ready from static checks alone.
The retained six-file candidate was copied into a credential-free worker01 .NET Pod. Its exact source manifest SHA-256 was 2cc0e03458401bb1c33eb0a9fa4de67b88eec2953bb5c719cb072152a7635b39. A cold targeted restore eventually succeeded; 16 TrackedConfigurationCredentialTests passed and the changed C# file passed dotnet format verification. Validation log SHA-256: 029e5dafc1b01b279f5c6021ec294552ae5a796fcd27d9b0218c538715ccd216. The isolated Pod was removed.
The administrator requeued only task superproject-requirements-1790540402214217888-implementation on ordinary account codex-account-32561fee03fb1878eb1618881cefda91 with exact state guards and append-only recovery details in the task and change-set JSON. The original Codex rollout was unavailable after worker runtime cleanup, so an explicitly new thread used the same persisted objective, source and test evidence. The supervised worker Pod used existing sandbox profiles and a task-owned ignored .NET/NuGet cache on worker01. Its cold solution restore exceeded AutoCoder's 600-second command limit; the timed-out child process remained running and was stopped by confirmed PID before a bounded restore completed. This is a worker timeout cleanup defect to repair separately.
AutoCoder's finalization then passed solution restore, both planned test commands and Release build. Full-solution format verification failed on unrelated existing C# files; the changed credential test file passed the scoped format command. Both the original failure and the narrowed command were retained in the change-set/task audit record. AutoCoder committed and pushed validated source as ddd5c09d1d057d0afd1f570ac768d1991dce4261. Its Azure PR creation returned HTTP 400 about a description longer than 4000 characters. An administrator used the existing scoped provider identity to create concise PR 6621 for that exact branch and dev target; AutoCoder's existing-PR reconciliation recorded all five validations successful and change-set state awaiting_dev_validation with PR open.
After confirming PR 6621 source revision, merge readiness, and zero active Azure policy evaluations, the administrator completed the PR using AutoCoder's configured squash strategy. Azure reports PR completed and dev at 1232efc05bf95e888431d086c52d0b0be673287b. Azure builds 26155 (TheWell-Backend) and 26156 (TheWell-Backend-Test-Delivery) started for that exact revision and were in progress at the time of this entry. The AutoCoder delivery record had not yet reconciled the completed DEV merge, so its recorded state remained awaiting_dev_validation. No TEST deployment or normal-user acceptance is claimed. Credential-owner rotation remains blocked as REQ-0094. The supervised worker Pod was deleted after task execution; task source and bounded cache remain on worker01 for recovery.
Cold package restoration and multiple recovery passes did not meet the three-minute build or ten-minute usable TEST target. Follow-up engine repairs need to give finalization a task-owned .NET environment by default, terminate timed-out child process groups, bound Azure PR descriptions, and make delivery reconciliation progress on this exact change set without broad background work.
Azure PR 6621 completed with source ddd5c09d1d057d0afd1f570ac768d1991dce4261 and squash merge 1232efc05bf95e888431d086c52d0b0be673287b; the provider reports this as current dev head. Azure build 26155 (TheWell-Backend) completed successfully at that source revision, including its OpenShift deployment stage. Azure build 26156 (TheWell-Backend-Test-Delivery) completed successfully at the same source revision, including its persistent TEST deployment stage. Its deployment log states TEST backend release ready at source 1232efc05bf95e888431d086c52d0b0be673287b, run 26156, application artifact SHA-256 ddb11f0edb91c3575b5db8347aabc4ac3193820e55df7e97d08adc6a19251339, with internal /health/ready and the synthetic persistence fixture verified by the deployment script. The optional read-only TEST pair observation stage was skipped under the normal non-observation trigger. Public https://thewell-test.skan.com/ returned HTTP 200 from the controller at 10:15:52 UTC. Interactive sign-in against this exact backend revision remains to be reported by an ordinary work account; the earlier user acceptance predates this release.
AutoCoder's delivery reconciler did not advance the change set after the verified DEV PR merge. The administrator recorded the exact provider PR status/source/merge commit and dev head in an exact-state guarded change-set/task transaction; the change set now reads awaiting_dev_delivery/development_merged and the task awaiting_delivery. Pipeline success is not yet written into the AutoCoder ledger. The supervised worker Pod was deleted and namespace CPU quota usage fell from 10400m to 9200m of 11 CPU, releasing capacity for other operator chats. Its source/PR history and the bounded ignored worker cache remain preserved. TheWell PROD was not changed.
The DEV-to-TEST delivery route for this repository is its pipeline 394, triggered from dev; it successfully deployed this exact revision. AutoCoder's current SuperProject policy says autonomous_test_updates=true and its generic reconciler expects a test-branch promotion followed by delivery evidence on the test branch. That does not match pipeline 394's normal deploy condition, which requires refs/heads/dev. Do not infer a test-branch build would deploy TEST. Resolve this engine policy/pipeline mapping before allowing generic test-branch reconciliation to mark this change set complete. REQ-0094 owner rotation remains separately blocked.
The operator reported that https://thewell-test.skan.com opens for their normal work account and that the existing “Check saved” workspace is visible. This confirms interactive page load and saved-workspace visibility after the exact backend release above. The operator did not repeat a write or rename on this release, so a fresh write/persistence check is not claimed. The AutoCoder change set remains awaiting_dev_delivery as of this observation; the engine's test-branch delivery mapping is still unresolved. No TheWell PROD change was made.
A separate repair worktree at /home/ax_julian/temp/autocoder-thewell-test-pipeline-evidence-20260928 contains an uncommitted Rust patch to recognize the existing Azure TEST pipeline 394 from the exact DEV revision. A credential-free temporary Pod autocoder-thewell-route-check-20260928 ran on drg-k8s-worker-01.auth.home.lan using pinned engine image sha256:45b592ca390969e632cb5fa3490c7c1247c9a2133a6d81f1b4873dc29227460a, no service-account token, non-root UID and worker NVMe /mnt/runner-storage/autocoder-engine. The first 500m-CPU-request Pod was rejected by node request allocation; a 100m-request replacement initially lacked its existing registry pull Secret and was replaced with the same bounded Pod plus gitea-registry-cred. cargo check --locked --offline -j 2 then completed successfully in 3m39s with warnings from unrelated source. No tests ran and no engine deployment or delivery-ledger update is claimed. The temporary Pod was deleted. The bounded copied source/build cache remains under /mnt/runner-storage/autocoder-engine/supervised-checks/autocoder-thewell-route-20260928 pending the repository-required test decision, and must be removed after that decision. TheWell PROD was untouched.
A second edit added the scoped reconcile-direct-test-delivery-once operator command because source inspection showed the release loop is spawned while the global pause is active, but it skips the SuperProject delivery pass unless background automation is enabled. The command is bound to one change-set ID, reviewed implementation revision, one member with a configured direct TEST route, and an explicit --execute; each invocation advances at most one delivery stage. The revised source passed cargo fmt --check, git diff --check, and worker cargo check --locked --offline -j 2 in 9.66s using the retained cache. Its temporary compile Pod was again deleted. The copied source and build cache occupy about 645 MiB on worker NVMe; operator owns cleanup after the pending test/integration decision, with no standing worker loop or Azure build added. The code remains uncommitted; no tests, engine deployment or live delivery reconciliation occurred.
The direct TEST route code was committed as cefd9da4 and merged with the then-current AutoCoder DEV base ccf6b7af into branch revision a65ab0eebbea17ef4bead8ebac41c1dd671dba98. The branch was pushed and Gitea PR 6752 targets DEV. Its validation run 3952 was pending at the last observation; no DEV merge or engine deployment is claimed. TheWell member pipeline-route configuration and live REQ-0083 ledger reconciliation remain undone.
A credential-free compile/test Pod on worker01 used the existing pinned engine image and NVMe placement. On the combined branch, cargo fmt --check, git diff --check and cargo check --locked --offline -j 2 passed. The targeted native-test-support REQ-0097 group passed 35 tests, with one isolated-database test intentionally ignored pending Gitea CI's PostgreSQL fixture. The two new tests verify direct DEV-revision TEST binding without a TEST PR and require success of Azure's named TEST deployment stage. An initial bin-test command without the repository-required native-test-support feature failed at compilation; rerunning with that documented feature passed. The Pod was deleted and its 3.1 GiB temporary worker copy/build cache removed after the branch was pushed; no background worker or Azure pipeline was started for this verification. TheWell PROD stop and global background automation pause remain unchanged.
AutoCoder PR #6752 merged into DEV at dc326e5e57528939554c158b31e8f86df712e230. Exact candidate run #3953 succeeded; both AutoCoder TEST and production backend Deployments report this source revision and the same immutable backend image digest sha256:0b4c8d92062f446b84b648af5c73a9d871a704834672ae757f88e11075d1a5f5. Public /healthz returned ok in both environments. Global background automation remains paused; TheWell PROD stop was not changed.
After inspecting the live production schema and the sole TheWell-Backend member, the administrator set only that member's direct TEST route to Azure definition 394 and stage Deploy exact build to persistent test (guarded update affected one row). The new operator command reconcile-direct-test-delivery-once advanced preserved change set sp-requirements-1790540402214217888 through exact DEV delivery, direct TEST promotion and TEST delivery using source revision 1232efc05bf95e888431d086c52d0b0be673287b and successful Azure run 26156. The first finalization attempt found Azure PR #6630 active after 30 seconds; a read-only check found its source revision unchanged, merge calculation succeeded and zero policy evaluations. A later guarded command completed finalization without changing the route or creating another deployment. Azure PR #6630 is completed at DEV fc7df3a5348ccded8d63a8b0c5f30bfb4b20552e. The AutoCoder ledger reads completed, outcome test_delivered, exact TEST revision 1232efc05bf95e888431d086c52d0b0be673287b, delivery state succeeded, and no outcome error. This closes only the preserved REQ-0083 delivery ledger; REQ-0094 rotation remains separate.
Measured real Azure TEST run 26156: queued 10:09:10 UTC, started 10:09:20, finished 10:14:38 (328 seconds queue to finish). Its Azure-hosted Build stage ran 10:09:21–10:11:19 (118 seconds) and deployment stage 10:12:06–10:14:38 (152 seconds). The 10-minute TEST target passed for this one real release. The 3-minute build timing passed on Azure-hosted infrastructure, but the required local Gitea/owned-runner build placement is still absent. These are one-release observations, not a consistency claim.
