On 10 September 2026 at approximately 16:18 UTC, the administrator restored the AutoCoder backend using the retained Kubernetes deployment revision 1092. The active operator goal explicitly authorizes repairing the implementation pipeline and restoring autonomous operation.
autocoder-engine; deployment: autocoder-engine.gitea.app.lan/autocoder/autocoder-engine:sha-7cd711cf93cb; rollout run 2930 failed at 09:40 UTC. At the administrator check the backend was unready with 82 restarts.sha-97d02174cd57 and its recorded engine/worker image configuration with kubectl -n autocoder-engine rollout undo deployment/autocoder-engine --to-revision=1092 using the authorized Kubernetes context.autocoder-engine-6f54c9d47d-bl5n4 ready 1/1 with zero restarts and a successful rollout. No database records, reviews, feedback, implementation artifacts or account settings were deleted or rewritten. Existing worker pods already use the restored worker image. This rollback restores backend availability; it is not proof of complete autonomous delivery. The source-level migration repair and non-empty-database regression remain in the AutoCoder repository workflow. Do not deploy the failing revision again before that repair is validated. Engine investigation details belong in the repository incident report, not duplicated operational manuals.
An independent engine merge deployed image sha-990697393c97 before the forward migration repair finished validation. It retained the same invalid index predicate, and startup failed again. The administrator verified the same failure and restored retained healthy deployment revision 1094 (image sha-97d02174cd57). Rollout completed successfully; no database or account state was rewritten.
The deployment workflow for run 2933 then reported success because it waited for deployment readiness without verifying that the ready image was the run's expected revision. The observed backend was the restored earlier image, not the advertised new delivery. This is recorded as failed delivery evidence; green provider status is not accepted as proof. Exact target verification and automatic rollback ownership remain engine lifecycle repair work.
The repository-managed pipeline deployed image sha-c4c05acd8c7f, containing the reviewed migration and native provider-capacity checkpoint repairs. Deployment generation 2345 was observed at 2345; the new backend pod autocoder-engine-847d588bdb-j5j8l was ready with zero restarts. A read-only exact-image/generation verifier succeeded. Database index inspection confirmed that waiting reviews no longer own repository execution uniqueness. Retained historical cycles were not deleted or manually requeued.
Two idle account workers updated to this image. The busy fallback worker retained its existing image while its active delivery-recovery task drains; it was not cancelled to force an update. Backend availability and the exact revision are verified, but historical reviewer recovery and a complete autonomous delivery outcome remain under investigation.
The repository pipeline successfully deployed sha-978caf812a99 at generation2347. The backend is ready with zero restarts; its exact image/generation verification passed. This includes target-bound delivery checks and guarded restoration of the prior healthy ReplicaSet while retaining a failed target result.
The next intended backend image sha-9485e9b38a4b did not deploy. Four run2945 tasks were assigned at17:36 without runner receipt, logs, containers or renewed heartbeats. Gitea1.24.6 logged slow FetchTask requests, a7.832s SQLite transaction wait and cancelled request contexts. Existing runner fetch_timeout was5s. The provider's normal17:50 stale-task sweep marked the orphaned attempts failed; no administrator task/database state rewrite occurred. This supports a dispatch-response timeout diagnosis, not proof of a complete upstream protocol repair.
Source commit fe4002492006ec8ded58b0c2bc92f6f2b2f19689 changes only fetch_timeout from5s to30s in the two existing runner ConfigMaps. After server-side dry-run and exact live/source comparison, resourceVersion/content guarded JSON patches updated gitea-act-runner-config and gitea-act-runner-rust-config. No entire runner manifest, storage configuration or account budget was reapplied.
At18:01–18:03, the three idle generic runner daemons and idle Rust runners1/2 were gracefully signalled to reload through container restart. Provider task state and actual Docker containers were checked first; the Rust containers present were persistent BuildKit daemons and remain intact. No pod, Docker daemon, cache or active job was deleted. Rust runner3 remains on its old loaded configuration while validating the source change; reload only after it drains. Runner count is unchanged. A bounded backend-only workflow dispatch retries the exact current main9485 target; final outcome still needs verification.
Gitea1.24 ignores workflow concurrency declarations. The repository setting cancel-in-progress:false alone must not be presented as a proven anti-cancellation guarantee.
The backend-only retry succeeded (image build14006, rollout14014). Exact image sha-9485e9b38a4b, deployment generation2349 and readiness were independently verified. The active critical implementation's persisted priority changed from20 to10, matching its current important-and-urgent issue card. This does not close any issue or prove its product implementation delivered.
After its validation attempt ended, Rust runner3 was checked idle against both provider task records and Docker containers, then its runner daemon was gracefully reloaded at18:14. All six existing runners now load fetch_timeout30s. Pool size, concurrent job limits, Docker daemons and retained build caches are unchanged. Source PR4178 merged as 0d827f55c82f07c2e228221d91b8ee81a1d8a63c. No active job was cancelled to reload configuration.
Repository-managed deployment of sha-3a42b8bdb5f5 completed successfully (rollout task14036). A separate read-only verifier confirmed exact image and generation2351. This installs the bounded recovery of completed delivery-repair handoffs and usage-limited historical reviewers. Historical cycles96785/97076 remain preserved; they do not bypass another active cycle's same-repository execution ownership. Cycle97325 advanced autonomously from completed implementation to an independent reviewer at18:33 and is still running; this is handoff progress, not verified final delivery.
After this delivery was verified, context-preservation PR4184 was merged as c9e711a231bd11e708da00e2a99671665d5b7076 following exact successful CI. Its later rollout is not yet verified. No deployments or merge results were manually fabricated and no managed-product branch was manually completed.
The repository pipeline deployed sha-c9e711a231bd successfully (rollout task14045). The separate exact-image verifier passed at deployment generation2353. This includes the validated consented-context and accepted-description handoff repair; original feedback rows and capture limits were not expanded or blindly replayed. A new live planning outcome still needs observation before describing historical context-dependent feedback as recovered.
Cycle97325's independent review approved its source implementation, but PR4192 has real integration conflicts with the newer administrator engine repairs. A read-only merge simulation confirmed three conflicting files; this was not merely delayed provider mergeability. The engine preserved its approved revision and autonomously admitted delivery recovery at critical priority. No administrator resolved or merged that engine-owned branch. Further administrator source edits are held while this integration recovery runs. Historical96785/97076 remain preserved behind the same-repository execution owner.
AutoCoder independently approved and merged its preserved recovery (PR4205), without administrator completion of that branch. Repository-managed rollout task14060 succeeded; a separate exact-image check confirms sha-707630337021 at generation2355 with one ready backend replica. The worker controller is replacing idle workers with that configured image, retaining all three workers rather than reducing concurrency. This is deployed recovery code, not yet a verified behavioral outcome; cycle97325 still awaits delivery reconciliation and live acceptance.
The verified 8,000-token subscription review cutoff is a separate administrator runtime repair in PR4206. It has passed local checks and is in provider validation, not deployed. No running task was cancelled, no persisted attempt was deleted, and the fallback account's 30% manual-only reserve remains unchanged.
Administrator PR4206 passed exact revision validation (task14059), then merged as 4e7793ffc86e6e010f0724c135892e7a4683f6f6. Repository-managed deployment task14069 succeeded. The independent verifier confirms backend image sha-4e7793ffc86e at generation2357. Two idle workers have updated; the busy fallback worker remains on70763033 with desired_status=draining so its current recovery work is preserved. All three worker slots remain configured. A live subscription goal running without the synthetic ceiling is still outstanding release evidence; do not equate the backend rollout with that runtime result.
Engine-owned acceptance of70763033 completed with two explicit capability failures requiring isolated PostgreSQL checks. AutoCoder autonomously started an acceptance-capability recovery rather than marking the outcome accepted. No administrator completed its branch, supplied a fabricated verdict or cancelled its active work. The fallback manual-only reserve remains30%; no paid model access was authorized. Local task-owned synthetic test databases have been removed.
All three workers now run sha-4e7793ffc86e. The busy worker checkpointed naturally and its original recovery task resumed with the same thread and unchanged objective. The old goal ceiling was92,062 tokens; the new runtime retained101,393 tokens of prior usage and cleared that ceiling. An independent read-only app-server thread/goal/get confirmed active status, tokenBudget:null and105,959 tokens used. That probe made no model request and did not start, resume or modify the goal. This verifies the subscription cutoff repair in real execution, rather than merely a successful deployment.
The broader pipeline remains unfinished: the engine-owned acceptance-capability repair is still running, historical blocked cycles still need continuation, and Astra/high runtime routing is not yet implemented. No managed-product implementation or acceptance verdict was fabricated. Task-owned local test databases and1.9GiB of rebuildable compiler artifacts were removed after verification; source commits and the unfinished-goal checkpoint remain preserved.
Under the operator-authorized pipeline repair, administrator PR4222 integrated the complete validated command-resumption/status and review-identity repairs as eda263cba8bf214516e37e9d1cdb0d48c4ef1e6e. It includes all PR4221 commits; PR4221 was closed with inclusion evidence without a second deployment. Both exact source-head validations passed, and fresh Git ancestry/tree checks confirmed the merged content.
The repository deployment built immutable backend image gitea.app.lan/autocoder/autocoder-engine:sha-eda263cba8bf; backend rollout task14085 succeeded. An independent read-only invocation of scripts/verify-backend-rollout.sh confirmed deployment generation2359 was observed with all requested replicas ready on that exact image. The two idle workers use the same new image. The busy worker still uses sha-4e7793ffc86e while finishing its preserved implementation; no administrator cancelled or restarted it. Worker count, account eligibility, manual-only fallback reserve, authentication and environment authority are unchanged. Browser assets were not changed by this backend response correction.
Live task evidence distinguished the new worker's recovered tool errors from a failed lifecycle: the20:54:29 patch mismatch was followed by a successful corrected patch20:54:43; the20:57:02 mismatch was followed by source inspection and a successful patch20:57:21. Its local suite completed successfully around21:19; current terminal error is null. It still requires provider database validation, independent review and delivery. Historical stderr remains available as diagnostics but is no longer used as authoritative current status/error by the repaired backend.
The older completed acceptance repair in cycle97325 remains preserved, not delivered: its prior review enqueue failed six times because a cycle-level reviewer ID was already occupied. The new backend derives reviewer identity from the completed source task. Existing periodic exact-scope recovery is available; the current repository owner cycle97567 prevents concurrent conflicting admission. No task or issue state was manually rewritten, and no engine-owned implementation or diagnostic branch was manually integrated. Autonomous admission and final live acceptance of97325 are still unverified. Operator-authenticated browser/API rendering was not impersonated or bypassed.
All task-owned synthetic PostgreSQL test containers were removed after validation. cargo clean removed880.4MiB of generated local build artifacts. The small administrator source worktree is retained only for the unfinished broader repair, with existing protection expiring12 September2026 at23:59UTC.
All three detached workers now use sha-eda263cba8bf. The previously busy worker completed its implementation21:20:31 and preserved source revision 9eaefd7ea9cb081404e6a8fa24ce3f34956cba25; AutoCoder automatically queued and started the independent reviewer for cycle97567 on the upgraded runtime. Provider validation for that engine-owned source is running (task14087). This is verified implementation-to-review progress, not delivered/accepted recovery. Older cycle97325 still awaits release of the same-repository execution lane; its post-fix readmission and live acceptance remain unverified. No administrator finished either managed implementation or changed its durable state.
Administrator PR4240 passed final exact-head validation (ad7c0748; full tests, isolated database checks, backend and browser release builds), then merged as 80f78fcd56ecbffe948c0e3b8b8829cc713fa433. Fetched main ancestry and identical source/merge trees were verified. Redundant administrator policy PR4197 was closed only after proving both commits included; no engine-owned pull request was manually completed.
Repository rollout task14108 succeeded. The independent read-only verifier confirms backend image gitea.app.lan/autocoder/autocoder-engine:sha-80f78fcd56ec at generation2361, observed2361, ready. All three existing workers now use this image and are ready; no worker was cancelled to force the update. The batch corrects source/target delivery identity, retained stage-specific review admission, and current important-and-urgent Astra/high routing. Subscription ownership, exact-model capability gates and the30% manual-only fallback reserve are unchanged.
This is not full autonomous recovery. Cycle97076 independently completed a review at23:00, then hit a genuine integration conflict and exhausted its old cycle-wide recovery allowance. Cycles97567 and97680 stopped with preserved implementations after incorrectly describing executed CI checks as runner-capacity waits; their actual failures are database test-fixture defects. Exact job diagnostics and candidate-bound recovery remain administrator engine-repair work. No accepted verdict, delivery outcome or issue closure was fabricated.
The earlier task-owned retained-review test database was removed after validation. A new bounded local synthetic database supports the unfinished validation-evidence repair (loopback55439,384MiB memory,192MiB tmpfs, one CPU,auto-removal). Its cleanup owner is the active administrator task; remove it and generated compiler artifacts before handoff. Source work remains protected only through12September23:59UTC.
Administrator PR4256 passed exact-source branch validation and merged as44f11e7dd55107a4af0fe128aecddcf15fb58e9f. The normal deployment pipeline rolled out backend image gitea.app.lan/autocoder/autocoder-engine:sha-44f11e7dd551. Independent read-only rollout verification passed at deployment generation2363. Two idle workers adopted the same image; the active Astra implementation remains on its prior image until natural completion. No worker was cancelled or capacity reduced.
The bounded validation-job metadata migration is present. Four historical identities were backfilled using the deployed ingestion function after read-only provenance verification of successful authenticated Gitea workflow_job events: hooks169620/169488/169308/168594 map respectively to jobs14553/14542/14525/14435 and exact revisions17a31388/07f4ff02/0b5652f4/d2f9bb8e. Only validation metadata was written; task/case/issue states, reviews, retry counts and usage were unchanged. New jobs14570 and14571 were captured automatically from normal rollout events, proving future collection without an administrator replay.
The deployed MCP executable was exercised inside an upgraded worker with its actual runtime provider and database credentials, scoped to original native tasks97680 and97567. Both returned current provider failure state and the exact missing-column/missing-function database diagnostics from jobs14553/14542. Excerpts were bounded to24000bytes with truncation explicit, and no service credential appeared. This verifies the evidence capability, not delivery or acceptance of either retained candidate.
The earlier synthetic validation-evidence database was removed at23:23. The new promotion-handoff regression database is loopback-only127.0.0.1:55439 using host networking,384MiB RAM,192MiB tmpfs, one CPU and AutoRemove. An initial Docker bridge transport attempt was replaced before testing; only that task-owned disposable container and its local test process were stopped. The active administrator owns cleanup of the replacement and generated compiler artifacts before handoff. The narrow promotion-ownership fix remains under test, not deployed.
Administrator PR4268 passed all exact-source CI checks in11m35 and merged as1816f2dce29a8f073b2ab93eed4d0d318d265704. Normal backend rollout deployed image gitea.app.lan/autocoder/autocoder-engine:sha-1816f2dce29a; independent read-only verification passed atgeneration2365. No managed-product branch or engine-owned repair PR was manually merged.
The original TheWell-Frontend parent sp-requirements-1789079453050795388 advanced automatically after rollout: development delivery recognized00:09:08; existing test PR6458 and merge0a6796f97cbae8b1a36f6493e117279906459176 recognized00:09:43; exact test build25679 success recorded00:10:54; requirement finalization and parent completion00:12:38. Its blocker cleared without another implementation. This verifies the repaired engine transition against the original live record. It is not an assertion of independent visual acceptance of TheWell's feature.
An unrelated critical native worker97747 ended at00:05:26 on typed provider serverOverloaded. The engine committed and pushed its source48ab12a93861cea28e3c5fc5f14ffded8c85eee3 before terminal cleanup, so its implementation is preserved remotely. No administrator discarded it. The failed continuation exposes a remaining model-capacity recovery defect, now under a separate administrator repair; it is not fixed by this rollout. The retained97680 job meanwhile advanced automatically through independent review to a scoped corrective implementation, using exact failed-check evidence rather than the earlier runner-starvation diagnosis.
The promotion test database and2.0GiB of generated local build files were removed after validation. A new task-owned model-capacity regression database (autocoder-model-capacity-tests-20260911) is bounded to loopback55439,384MiB RAM,192MiB tmpfs andone CPU with AutoRemove. The active administrator remains its cleanup owner and must remove it and regenerated build artifacts before handoff.
Administrator PR4276 passed exact-source validation in13m48 and merged61bb7ea8eb056100516f75324d9fc9eecf4cc9a9. Independent read-only rollout verification confirmed backend generation2367 ready on image gitea.app.lan/autocoder/autocoder-engine:sha-61bb7ea8eb05; the durable provider_retry_after_unix bigint default0 migration is present. Two idle worker pods adopted the image; the active feedback-context implementation remains on its existing worker until natural drain. No worker was cancelled, account reserve changed or task/cost history reset. The original TheWell delivery remains completed in test. Further stage-owned recovery PR4280 and critical-diagnostic intake are not yet deployed and must not be represented as completed repairs.
Administrator PR4280 (45207ebc) and PR4287 (d4a155a06cf1) passed exact-source CI. The final combined image gitea.app.lan/autocoder/autocoder-engine:sha-d4a155a06cf1 passed independent read-only backend rollout verification at generation2369. The earlier45207 rollout was superseded before execution by this containing release; it is not separate delivery proof. Backend readiness is healthy with zero restarts. Native97680 passed its own exact-source CI and automatically entered independent Astra/high review. No engine-owned PR was manually merged or worker cancelled.
Live intake verification is PARTIAL: accepted native1446/1447 have stopped being imported repeatedly (last intake activity01:16:20). Previously excluded critical diagnostics20/1452 now reach the selector, but at01:20:17 the existing recovery helper deferred them because no idle execution account is available. They have not yet gained shared feedback ownership. A follow-up administrator repair separates durable acceptance from execution-account allocation; that source is under local testing and is not deployed. Three configured accounts report invalid refresh credentials, two subscriptions report exhausted weekly allowance, and the remaining usable account owns the native review. The manual fallback reserve remains unchanged.
Temporary validation now uses only the task-owned autocoder-feedback-capacity-tests-20260911 container (loopback55439,384MiB RAM,192MiB tmpfs, one CPU,AutoRemove) plus a two-job local build on bounded local disk. The active Codex session owns cleanup before handoff. Prior model-capacity test container and build products were removed00:54; this is a new explicitly owned test lifetime.
The already deployed d4a155a06cf1 selector/redaction repair automatically admitted original critical diagnostics20/1452 when execution-account availability returned. They now have durable feedback43623/43624 and cases228957/228958, both accepted, with no fabricated operator approval. A read-only comparison confirmed original URL credentials are absent from the newly persisted context; no credential value was displayed. The earlier15minute retry delay was not manually reset. Already accepted1446/1447 have not been repeatedly re-imported. Native1447 is now actually implementing its prioritization repair ascycle97925 on Astra/high.
This establishes the preceding selector repair's live intake outcome. It does NOT establish no-capacity intake: the additional PR4295 source25f74bb9 remains in exact-source CI14171/job14626. Its full local410/1258/85/16 suites andall15 isolated DBgroups passed, including no-account and disabled-fallback acceptance with zero worker starts and unchanged account state. Native97680 remains independently rejected for a demonstrated attachment-consent producer mismatch; no administrator merged its candidate. The broader12-card outcome is not complete.
The task-owned autocoder-feedback-capacity-tests-20260911 database was stopped and auto-removed after tests. Cargo clean removed1.9GiB of generated local build products. Only committed source plus an expiring task marker remains for pending release verification; no temporary database or build products remain.
The operator explicitly ordered immediate cessation of all AutoCoder processes and confirmed the emergency stop. Prior autonomous repair authorization is suspended; do not restart without a new explicit operator instruction.
Stopped backend autocoder-engine and frontend codecartography-frontend by scaling both deployments from 1 to 0. Stopped/deleted the three standalone AutoCoder account worker pods after stopping their controller; suspended the namespace's containerd-image-prune CronJob. PostgreSQL is deliberately retained; no repositories, persistent workspaces, task/cycle history, accounts, issues, usage counters, or credentials were deleted or reset.
Disabled repository Actions on AutoCoder/AutoCoder-Engine (previously enabled) to prevent deployment pipelines restarting the service. Stopped exact active validation container 311b9dae5161 on rust runner3, associated with Gitea task14208/job14663/run8081 (display3024). Gitea recorded the interrupted task/run as failed at06:35:43 UTC. This terminal state is an intentional emergency interruption. Also stopped all six AutoCoder-named BuildKit containers across rust runners1–3, preserving stored data. Shared Gitea/runner services and unrelated applications were not stopped.
Post-stop verification: backend/frontend replicas0; no AutoCoder worker or backend/frontend pods; PostgreSQL only running in the namespace; CronJob suspended with0 active jobs; no running Gitea tasks. Stale database task state was retained rather than rewritten as successful work. Prior administrator test database and generated build files had already been removed. The earlier source-only diagnostic-approval correction remains uncommitted, protected, and undeployed; it must not be automatically resumed.
