Automatic scene SVG background generation was disabled through the repository-managed scene_background_generation_enabled = false setting. Item and effect icon enrichment remains enabled. Existing source-matching scene backgrounds remain displayable; absent or stale backgrounds return the terminal disabled status so clients stop polling.
