syringe-held-elara while Elara only held a sealed syringe.name, making existing template effects difficult to identify.The evaluator could emit an unconfigured event_based record with a non-restraint kind. The deterministic guard rejected only restraint + event_based, so model-selected kinds could bypass the boundary for continued contact or a voluntarily held item.
The saved Elara syringe was also a stale template snapshot: it referenced anal-hook-1 and carried that template's legacy effect data. The canonical medical-syringe template has zero effects. The narrated injection correctly updated the live item to empty and dropped; no chemical effect is defined by that template.
Starting inventory copied complete template snapshots into persona data. Later template edits did not reconcile the copied hidden effect payload. An audit found all 16 saved starting items had valid links, but five effect payloads differed from their canonical templates: Alexandra's lullaby suppository, Elara's anal hook, Elara's plush blindfold, Elara's enema bag, and Maya's lullaby suppository. The enema and Maya differences were SVG-only.
The canonical templates already contained their intended effects. The missing visibility was in the editor: it showed description, severity, and lifecycle but did not expose the canonical effect name.

A later guarded synchronization at session turn 21, generation 3, reconciled only the four effect aliases for the five saved mismatches and three live Elara mismatches. It asserted no active turn jobs and no active derived effects from the affected items, then appended persona versions:
