¶ 2026-06-27 Bodylog profile chat inline workspace redesign
A follow-up Bodylog deployment removed the floating profile chat UI after it could render outside the usable viewport and overlap core navigation controls such as Profile.
- Repository: BodyLog/Bodylog.dev
- Branch merged to main: fix/profile-chat-inline-workspace
- Main commit: bf5e19fe371d
- Deployed image: gitea.app.lan/bodylog/bodylog.dev:sha-bf5e19fe371d
- Removed the floating profile chat launcher and shell.
- Added a normal Chat button to the workspace header action row.
- Chat now opens inline inside the workspace navigation panel, below the header actions and above the section tabs.
- Opening Chat closes Settings and Support; opening Settings or Support closes Chat.
- Updated REQ-0031 to require chat reachability within the normal workspace layout without floating over core navigation controls.
- Updated regression coverage to reject floating chat shell/toggle classes and old launcher text.
- Local frontend tests: npm test, 47 passed.
- Local frontend build: npm run build, passed with the existing chunk-size warning.
- Kubernetes rollout: deployment/bodylog successfully rolled out.
- Runtime image: gitea.app.lan/bodylog/bodylog.dev:sha-bf5e19fe371d.
- Runtime health check: https://bodylog.dev/healthz returned ok.
- Served assets contain Chat, Profile chat, and /api/chat/messages.
- Served assets no longer contain profile-chat-shell, profile-chat-toggle, Ask Bodylog, or Close chat.
No manual Kubernetes mutation was used for the application rollout; deployment occurred through the repository autodeploy workflow after pushing main.
