For 3D Prints to fit into each other, you need to model your parts with tolerances, that is a small gap, so you can fit them easily. The following shows a screwlid which fits into a container.

Note that the Tolerance needs to be applied all around.
Example: You decide for a tolerance of 0.2 and the outer object diameter is 50mm.
-> The inner diameter needs to be 49.6mm (50mm - 2 * 0.2mm)
| Description | Gap Dimension |
|---|---|
| Press Fit | 0.1 (?) |
| Tight Fit | 0.2mm |
| Medium Fit (Printed screw) | 0.3mm |
| Loose | 0.4mm |
