This wiki is there to spread knowledge about wild rift, for anyone who wants to improve. Its also for me, to gather all the things I learned so far and to improve upon my own skills
My Fascination with MMOBAS started roughly 15 Years ago during my shool time with League of Legends.
I started as a Bronze 5 (nowadays iron) Noob and over the years worked my way up to Masters and the Ladder (in wild rift)
Nowadays, I mostly play casual Wild Rift after work with my Girlfriend and im enjoying it a lot, despite the lots of "bad Teammates". In fact, I believe, it is a great lesson in Life. I noticed that whenever I took a great Lesson in life, my Rank climbed up. Also vice versa: Through Wild rift, I learned Great Lessons for Life:

In wild rift, you get better, primarily through 3 ways:
through experience, you gather knowledge about the game, about the champions, their weaknesses, their control, the map, and so on. It comes with playing time. It acts as a multiplicator to anything you do.
It's like a thrid sense for the game. Not having to think how to control your champion.
Start by playing different champions and roles. Get a basic understanding of the game. Then start specializing on one champion and one role.
Until you are very good in it and you dont have to think about it anymore. Start exploring different champions on the same role. This will alow you to have an understanding of the role already, which makes it easier to learn a new champion. you will now always have two champions to fall back to. (for example if your first champion was banned)
You can now go and explore all kinds of champions at the speed which you like. Aram is a great boost for it, since you always get a random champion and the matches are short.
Especially, if you are a casual player, I would recommend specializing on one champion and role again.
You can also try out the enemy champions which you are weak against to learn more about their weaknesses.
strategic thinking is extremely important. When to be where. Always one step ahead of the enemy. Knowing where they are, where they are going to be.
Try to get some distance from the Game. I know, it can get very emotional at times, and tends to pull you into action. But what wins Games is not Kills. It is objectives. ALWAYS prioritize an objective if you can.
There is a Midgame teamfight, and you cant reach it or you think you are still at a disadvantage -> Take a tower or enemy jungle farm, even a dragon, if you can. Teamfight, when you believe you are at a significant advantage.
Learn about strategies, such as wave management, jungle paths, decision making. You can find good youtube videos or do recherche. You can record your own videos, rewatch them, rewind them. Please note: When you die, it is the biggest possible mistake:
You cannot support/defend your Team anymore.
You loose a tremendous amout of gold and experience from lost gametime + the enemy earns a lot of gold and experience from your kill. Possibly even a large bonus from a shutdown.
You can no longer take objectives, build map control to drive the game forward.
Usually, when you die. The mistake is not at the time of your death. you must rewind seconds, even minutes, to find the root mistake. Eg, an engage, which you shouldnt have taken.
Learn from your enemy:
A very effective strategy is to learn from your enemy. Whenever you are hating him the most, what is he doing, that makes you hate him so much? Can you copy that? After all WR is not a game for pussies. It is a fighting game. Pretty much without rules (except getting personal and hacking) everything is allowed.
Dirty fights and tactics. Learn from what hits you the most.
for this, it is best to read the wiki, which I will fill with all kinds of strategies I have developed so far
Knowing your strengths and weaknesses is very important. Strictly, i would categorize it as part of strategy, but it is of the most importance.
Basically, emotions often keep you from making good, based decisions.
You get angry. You throw the towel. You get Greedy. You follow the enemy for a minute into the enemies Base. You towerdive. You fight 1 vs 2.
Everyone makes these mistakes. Beeing able to reflect on your emotions, overcoming your weaknesses, forging an Iron will. Never giving up. Is what separate the best players from the worst.
This is a very personal topic and different for everyone. And it is very hard to overcome. The cardinal sin of the Bible. And it stops your entire Progress.
You can be greedy, and blindly run into a 1 v 3 or you can be so scared, that you never take a risk and always run away, leaving your ally from a 2 vs 2 to a 1 vs 2 Situation.
But the worst of all is the undecided. He, who runs back and forth, not achieving anything who cant decide what he should do.
Any action is better than No action.
When you find yourself having a hard time to prioritize things, or you do not know what to do at all: Dont Worry. Any action is better than no action. Do not be afraid to make mistakes. Make mistakes and learn from them. Professionals are "limit testing". When they take a stupid Decision, they at least try to take the most learning out of it. How far can they reach?
Learning from your Mistakes and actions automatically lets you make faster, better decisions over time.
Never give up. I have had yountless of games, with enemies attackig your base, your base is at 5hp and kills the enemie. And you win.
Finishing even rough games, even if you loose gives you tremendous learning on how to act from an disadvantageous position and how to recover mistakes.
Think of it as additional weight in the gym. rewatch the game, see what the enemies did differently. What worked well, what didnt go well?
What could have been done differently?
Did I make stupid decisions, blindfolded by emotions?
